Check out this 20 min film on Zarosh featured on the David Lynch Foundation site. Really good short film created by what I am guessing are non-skateboarders. Some guest cameos of the one and only Tadashi as well.

SF to Reno

Headed back to SF to hang a show with Ferris Plock at StumbleUpon. Here's Ferris and Christine, the lovely curator and Stumble partner.

This was my first time seeing Ferris' work in person. Most of the pieces were dern big and several were collabs with his wife Kelly Tunstall. Good stuff!

Some of my new pieces up on them walls. 15 pieces total.

Meet the arms behind Paying in Pain, Tadashi's roommate and soon to be my roommate on day 4 of no insurance = no hospital. Last I heard he finally got an appointment to get his arm fixed after getting denied a couple times. Can you tell which one?

Radio is doing some live paint action now.

Median lurking.

New sculptures being created down the way from our house in West Oakland. Check 'em out on Mandela Pkwy across from Brown Sugar.

Skated the Portrero park for the first time and learned Hightower was playing up the road. This is Hot Lunch, a band definitely worth 4 hairwhips. Good stuff. Couldn't stay for Hightower unfortunately, had to get to this speakeasy house party deal.

Poles in homes are neat.

Tadashi's toothbrush steez.

Koozie hands.

Observers.

Must be spring, hooray!

Breakfast @ Rudy's.

Greg and I went to skate Portrero again. This skateboarding looks a lot more like sitting and beering.

Greg's board got mad at me for being lazy.

Working on the sides of houses in the Bay area is hard. Here's my dad squeezing in the 18" space between us and my neighbor's home.

RENOOO!...NOLTE!

Cats & Tats. Thanks Jake.
The night somehow led us to tranny karaoke. Enjoi:

So many rad doods, like JD here. Love it ever time I get to my hometown.

What better way to spend a morning after tranny karaoke? Why Easter Sunday with the family of course. This dog pile was the highlight. I also got to see some photos of my cousin Braden doing some bull riding. Good to see someone else in my family destroying their body in the name of fun.

Rosy has never shot a gun. In fact, she's quite anti-gun. But you can't date a guy from Reno for this long and not get down with popp'n off a few rounds at some hub caps and old washing machines off the uncle's porch.

I'm having a hard time figuring out this campaign at the Reno airport.
Adam 5100
Just came across some photos I took of Adam 5100 and his work last December. Check out his site or work in person and you'll find some insanely detailed multi-layer stencil work interpreting forgotten places and subjects of contemporary Americana.
I originally met Adam a few years back through another stencil aficionado and mutual friend, Logan Hicks. I think Adam showed us around to various Oakland bars when I first moved there. If you live in the Bay, you probably know him anyway as he's just one of those doods that knows everyone and seems to brings on the laughter and good times.

Some work ready to ship for an upcoming show.

Adam & studio. RIP. The studio not Adam.

Adam hooked me up with an SF show and a couple faces. Yay me!

Came across this on the walk to wherever I was walking.

I have a ramp at our house in Oakland now. It's small and not pool coping, but it's wide and in my backyard! Can't wait to move back.

Not mine, but inspiring none-the-less.

NYC NEW YEAR

Late on these here posts, oh well. Moving on, we got settled and sat down to eat just as the ball was dropping so we got a late start on the Brooklyn festivities. Time to wake up for 6 stories of unstable floors, stairwells and people.

Kind of weirded out by this. Thanks Jesse.

WK Rosy
Sunrise at the I Hate Life and Just Want to Sleep café.

After a day of missing the sun and feeling spectacular we headed to AdHoc to see what was on the walls and visit with owners and Peripheral Media Project's Alison and Garrison.

The show was beautiful with all large-scale wood and lino cut pieces hung alongside their respective prints from Brooklyn's street representatives.

Dennis McNett close-up.

There was also a bonus surprise in the project room filled with C215's work.

Alison and Garrison were having a full week prepping for their "From the Streets of Brooklyn" show at Thinkspace in LA. They had plenty of energy to share even with their time restraints. Rad peeps!

Around the corner at Logan Hicks' studio in the 3rd Ward building to meet up with Kristen and show the space to some friends.

Close-up of one of Logan's background stencils.

And finally to Logan's house for some good times with his and Kristen's son, Sailor.

It's a great place to get barfed on by dog's or babies. Here's Jay enjoying the introduction.

Jesse getting prepared for his DJ gig at "Drawathon".

We hung out for a while sketching and listening to a few bands.

Brooklyn Promenade towers

Still work'n on 'em

Nice one.

Back at Logan's with Demer and family.

Day of Chelsea galleries.

Jesse again holding a photo of his pa, who unfortunately passed away last year. Wish I could have met him. From Jesse's stories sure sounds like a great guy. Here's a photo of him on stage directing DeNiro.

Frozen Hudson chunks on the train ride upstate to Beacon.

Back to the Open Space Gallery to visit with our homies Dan, Kalene and Easton and to see the work of course.

Dan and I got a surprise interview from a student. We had to wear the hat.

Kalene with one of her latest pieces shipping off to AdHoc/Thinkspace's "From the Streets of Brooklyn" show I mentioned earlier.

Free MOMA night.
